Lil Jonathan

I was preparing this week to take out the blindfold, sit down next to two merlots, one from sonoma valley and the other being the fruit of rap star lil jon, and undergo a blind tasting. I was also preparing to favor the "Lil Jonathan." For those not tuned to the hip hop/wine world scene, Lil jon has released three signature wines, a cabernet, merlot, and chardonnay. He claims the grapes come from california. I believe him. At first I thought he might just be bottling boone's farm and recirculating the stuff. Then I read his mission statement; it oozed with respectful candor. I now desperately want to be a believer in Lil jonathan wines, but the fuckers haven't come through on the order yet. I actually ordered a merlot online with my debit card. Anyway, it's been at least a week and a half. No Lil Jonathan has yet arrived. Will get back later with updates and tasting notes (hopefully!).
