It was a good week for us in Austin:
From the Austin Chronicle:
"The Frontier Brothers venture toward intergalactic indie rock, a cacophonous combination of jarring guitar, jingly piano pop, and weird science lyricism. The local trio's sophomore showing, Solar Power Struggle!, boots up like the Who's abandoned sci-fi rock opera Lifehouse as interpreted by Harry & the Potters: playfully anthemic. "

From Soundcheck Magazine:
"The Frontier Brothers - Mohawk: Ok, I have an embarrassing admission to make in such a public forum: I only recently discovered The Frontier Brothers. I know. I know. Where the hell have I been, right? What can I say? I’m making up for lost time, though. They will be at Mohawk on Thursday and I am going to be there. You?"

From the Onion:
"Though their name suggests yet another backwoods alt-country act, the only frontier The Frontier Brothers are interested in exploring is the final one. Last years Solar Power Struggle! EP canvassed the cosmospowered buy a rocket fuel of '80s synth lines, crunchy new-wave guitars, and bouncy ben Folds piano, with leader Marshall Galatic-whose official bio says that he hails from Neptune (in the future, no less)- croaking out joyously punky songs about robots and interplanetary transmissions. It's all a bit on the silly side, but the Fort Worth band, a recent transplant to Austin, is nothing if not contagious, and the preponderance of '60s harmonies and harmonicas help keep one foot fimly planted on the ground."

And last but not least, a photographer came over to our house from Study Breaks magazine, a seedy gossip rag catering to young earthlings. Oh wait, some would say we're young earthlings.
Just wait until the day they find out otherwise.

Lyrics: Jump Blues (Album Version)
Jump Blues
(Space Punk Starlet)
And you say that you're lonely
But by now, if you knew me
Then you'd turn and run
Go back where you came from.
Cause you know this ain't love
That we got in and out of our heads
You're a fool.
You're a fool for my promises.
Woah, you're getting under my skin.
Hey, between me and my quiet life again.
If you're just using some love to get through this,
Then you've already won
And maybe you'll be my baby when the day is done.
And after you shake me up and down
And use me and lose me again
If you want me I will be on the bottom of you're boot soles.
Oh, you're getting under my skin.
Oh, between me and my quiet life again!
Woah, you're getting under my skin! My skin!
Oh, between me and my quiet life again, again!
(Space Punk Starlet)
And you say that you're lonely
But by now, if you knew me
Then you'd turn and run
Go back where you came from.

Lyrics: Get Up Go
Get Up Go
From Space Punk Starlet (Oct. 2008)
I called you up on the screen at night
Got blue exactly you want me to
I've been this quiet calculation inside of you
For if lonesome is true, I see through you.
But don't you think you might
Come on like a revolution
Playing in the dark and frightful night
Meddling my constitution a little bit!
Her face was all over the TV screens
From the time that I was messed up inside
And if its alright with you its alright with me
If you want to believe, then believe me
believe me, believe me, believe!
But come on start a fire!
Kiss me but leave my wallet in my pocket.
If its about trust I must
Be the most permanent king this land has seen.
But if you don't call me
I will take it as a sign
That you've gone and left me
Far behind.
To be free as a bird.
Get up go!
When you're down.
Get up go!
Get up go!
Go!

Lyrics: The Future Is (Album Version)
The Future Is
(Space Punk Starlet)
Oh! Oh! Oh!
I wish I could solve the popular problems of my day,
So that you and I could waste away someplace nice.
Cause' there's a great big wonderful summer headed our way,
Filled with suntans, a beach romance, extinctions, hey.
But don't you hate all the people who just won't try,
If they left all the problems to you and I,
They'd be solved pretty quickly.
So all you tweens out there,
Give me a high five!
Because you're buying our record,
And you're making us rich,
Bitch!
I wish I coul solve the popular problems of my day,
So that you and I could waste away someplace nice.
Cause' there's a great big wonderful summer headed our way,
And those pesky polar bears and penguins won't get their way, woah.
Don't you hate all the people who just won't try (Don't you hate 'em?)
If they left all the problems to you and I,
They'd be solved pretty quickly.
Don't you hate all the people who just won't try?
